The Department seeks both certified firefighters as well as non-certified, inexperienced persons who are interested in working toward their firefighter certification. West End Fire Rescue proudly and continuously protects life, property and the environment from fire, natural disasters, and other emergencies for those who live, work and travel through the Tramway fire district and surrounding districts with professional and honest personnel. West End Fire Rescue is a combination department consisting of 6 full time, 24 hour shift personnel, 7 Days a week (2 per day) and 1 part time position 7:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. Provide rides for animals to vet appointments, adoption events, or foster homes, ensuring their safe and timely arrival.

Capture the unique personalities of animals to help them find forever homes by taking appealing photographs for adoption promotions.

Assist with daily care routines, feeding, and socialization of animals. Provide a temporary home for animals, offering them love and safety until they find permanent homes.

Help plan and participate in adoption events, fundraisers, and community outreach to support animal rescue efforts.
