The Adams Fire Department is located in the State of New York, County of Jefferson, and Village of Adams. The Adams fire department was organized on April 16th, 1929, as a volunteer fire department, for the purpose of providing fire protection. The Adams Fire Department is organized to: save lives, suppress and control fires, provide fire prevention education, hazardous materials response, public assistance during natural emergencies and other activities as deemed in the best interest of the fire department or citizens of our community. Membership of the fire department is comprised of active. Active membership is divided into interior and exterior Firefighters. The total number active membership shall not exceed 70 active members. It is the commitment of this department to provide to the best of our ability, a safe operation, prevent accidents, illness, fatalities, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The Adam Fire Department also has an amazing Explorer group and Restricted Active Members (RAM) for 16-18 ages. that meets every Monday nights from 6:30- 8:30 pm, Except for 2nd Monday of each month. along with We also started a Club Member status for the younger 10 to 13 years of age. | Requirements: Willing to learn and to be a team player. You will also be responding to medical calls to provide Basic First Aid and provide assistance to EMTs. As an EMT you will be trained to respond to medical emergencies and provide care for patients. You will also be asked to run rehab (check firefighter health) at fire scenes.
