Join the Friends of the Rail Trail (FORT) Committee on the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail volunteering as a Trail Ambassador to guide visitors, patrol, and serve as trail custodians.

Volunteer as a preserve steward and help us monitor and maintain one of our 22 public nature preserves. Walk the trail networks weekly or monthly, complete light maintenance, and notify us of any significant maintenance needs or vandalism. Training will be provided.

The ICU Volunteer supports and assists the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff by serving as a liaison between family members and ICU staff. The Clerical Assistant Volunteer supports department staff with clerical needs and projects. Responsibilities may include: filing, shredding confidential information, data entry, preparing mailings, making phone calls, copying and other duties and/or projects as assigned by department.
