Door Shakespeare is looking for friendly volunteers to assist with performances. Tasks include greeting patrons, directing them to parking, selling concessions, helping at wine night, and ushering. Office and administrative projects are also available.

Position varies depending on the interest of the applicant (No experience necessary-Training will be provided) The Following are categories in which positions are available: -Fire Suppression- conducts suppression activities of structural, vehicular and wildland fires. -Water Supply-Provide water supply for fire ground activities -Rescue-conducts patient/vehicular disentanglement, high/low ange rope rescue, open water rescue and confined space rescue -Driver/Operator-Drive and operate fire apparatus, including fire engines, UTV's, water tenders, fire boats and snow mobiles -Emergency Medical Responder-provide initial emergency medical support for people in need -Communications-setup and upkeep communications systems -Planning/Accountability- help create Incident action plans, update and maintain records, track personel on incidents and maintain a log -Logistics-help maintain fire ground equipment and supplies such as filling scba bottles, providing fuel for equipment and passing out drinking water. -Community Education-Educate the community on fire prevention, provide hands only cpr and fire extinguisher training -Fire Inspections- conduct fire inspections of commercial buildings and enforce the fire code | Requirements: Must have a passion to help our guests, friends and families. Assist with various special events such as Trivia Night, Rummage Sale, Garden Walk, Fish Boil, Farmers Market, and Christkindlmarkt. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure the success of these events.

Assist with delivering posters for special events to various locations. This role involves driving and interacting with local businesses and community centers.

Create simple signs for exhibits at the museum. This role involves basic design skills to help communicate information effectively to visitors.

Lead tours of the 1875 Anderson family farmhouse and other historical buildings. Training is available for this role to help you provide informative and engaging tours.

Help with data entry tasks for archiving historical information. This role involves entering data into our digital archives to preserve historical records.

Participate in spring cleaning activities at the museum and historical sites. This role involves general cleaning tasks to prepare our facilities for the upcoming season.

Ensure that participants safely turn around an orange barrel at the halfway point of the running event and transition safely going out and coming into Murphy Park.

During summer and fall, Clearing docents lead weekend walking tours of The Clearing. These tours focus on Clearing history and the native landscape. Special in-depth training is provided.
