Bardstown Fire Department averages 120 calls per month. We respond to fire, rescue, and medical emergencies as well as provide the following community services: • Public fire and safety education • Industrial fire extinguisher training • Child passenger safety education • Smoke detector installation and home safety inspections We take great pride in what we do to protect and serve the citizens of Bardstown! Boston Volunteer Fire and Rescue is currently accepting applications for volunteer fire fighters. Our department was founded in 1985 and currently covers approximately 46 square miles of rural community. Our department relies solely on volunteers to provide fire protection to the citizens within our district. Along with fire suppression, we also provide rescue and emergency medical services.
