Coordinate cleanup activities at designated sites around Norris Lake. Responsibilities include organizing volunteers and ensuring the smooth operation of cleanup events.

Join the planning committee to help organize and plan future cleanup events and sustainability initiatives for the Norris Lake Project Team.

Volunteers will participate in large-scale clean-up events, help maintain the Norris Area Trail System, and engage in community education programs. Responsibilities include removing trash, managing roadside cleanups, and enhancing interpretive features along the Norris Freeway.

Participate in bi-annual cleanups of Norris Lake to help preserve its natural beauty and conserve its resources. Volunteers will assist in removing misplaced garbage from the lake and surrounding areas.

Work to keep the UTAS Facebook page up-to-date with information about events and pictures, engaging with the community online.

Become a Bluebird Buddy and help monitor nesting boxes along the trail, contributing to the conservation of local bird species.

A dedicated computer expert is needed to manage and update the UTAS website, ensuring that information is current and accessible to the public.

Help with welcoming attendees and directing parking for in-person lectures and events, ensuring a smooth experience for participants.

Assist with weeding, pruning, and mulching the world-famous Holly Collection every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 9-11AM.

Assist with parking at major events, like the Butterfly Festival, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and safety for attendees.

Participate in trail maintenance twice a year during spring and fall, placing water bars and making improvements on over 7 miles of trails.

Join the team to dig, plant, and maintain the native plant gardens around the Visitors Center. Volunteers meet two Wednesday mornings each month from spring through fall.
