Applicants in this category will be expected to perform all basic functions of a Firefighter according to NFPA 1001. Firefighters will perform their duties in emergency and non-emergency settings. Firefighters will work within the department in a team environment to complete their assigned duties. Firefighters may be expected to work in a variety of work environments including: severe weather incidents, extreme hot and cold weather, hazardous atmospheres, dark and confined spaces, and other situations that may arise. The member will function as a member of a team and will perform duties and services based on their individual level of training and licensure as well as department and county protocols.
