Calling all volunteers! We need you! The Edgartown Fire Department provides Fire/Rescue and ALS ambulance services for approximately 5,168 people in a town consisting of 27sq miles of land and 95sq miles of water. We are one of six fire departments on the island of Martha's Vineyard. The majority of our membership are stipend compensated volunteers. There is a mix of firefighters, EMT's, and dual role members. ALS ambulance services are provided by full time Paramedics and volunteer EMT's. We use and maintain 7 pieces of apparatus, 2 ALS ambulances, 2 boats, and several ancillary vehicles.
