Ambassador Volunteers welcome visitors and answer questions about the arboretum and the Environmental Education Center. They help visitors feel informed and engaged during their visit.

Docent Volunteers give educational talks and act as tour guides for both children and adults at the Arboretum. They share their love and knowledge of the natural environment, heightening awareness of the need to conserve nature.

Steward Volunteers practice sustainable gardening, learn planting methods, perform proper pruning, and help conserve natural forests. They engage in hands-on activities to protect plants and restore native habitats.

Join the Roundtable Theater Company as a volunteer to help with various theater productions. Responsibilities may include assisting with set design, costume preparation, and backstage support during performances.

Financial Empowerment Intake and Screening Coordinators will greet clients that come to the site for VITA or other services. They will identify which service they have come for and ensure they have all necessary documents. Volunteers must complete the Standard of Conduct from the IRS Link and Learn program.

Volunteer Income Tax Preparers will prepare income tax returns for our VITA clients. They must be certified at the appropriate level so that all returns are prepared in scope. Volunteers must complete at least the Basic Preparer Certification and the Intake and Screening Certification from the IRS Link and Learn program.

Volunteer tutors are needed to provide individual and group tutoring to struggling students in Kindergarten – 3rd grade. Volunteers are required to attend an orientation and will receive training and ongoing support.

Volunteers proficient in languages other than English are needed to provide translation and other assistance for our Financial Empowerment Initiatives. We are looking for volunteers proficient in Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, French, Polish, Spanish, Turkish, and other languages.

The Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department began serving the local community in 1907. Its membership has always been, and still is, comprised completely of volunteers from the local area. Civic-minded residents with a drive to go the extra distance when the alarm rings out have joined the roster and proudly serve as one of Wyckoff's bravest. Must be in good physical health and can pass a doctor provided physical as well as a background check. For Full Firefighters, you will be required to attend the Fire Academy and become certified as a NJ State Firefighter within your first year of being a firefighter.
