If you enjoy doing office work, our front desk volunteer job could be right for you. Tasks include greeting and assisting visitors, answering phones, and confirming classes and trips. We also need friendly volunteers to help with bulk mailings throughout the month.

Make regular phone calls to seniors to ensure their well-being and provide friendly conversation. This role can be performed from home or office.

Our Monday Sewers (9:30 am) and Tuesday Candy Makers (9:30 am) are friendly groups of volunteers who welcome new people. Sewing projects range from baby blankets and bibs to walker bags, all donated to local charities. Candy is made September through May and sold in the Centre to support programs and services.

Do you have a special talent for creating arts and crafts? Share your talent by teaching a class at our Social Centre. Our members and visitors enjoy DIY projects that they can take home.

Intergenerational Programs enhance learning! If you enjoy working with children, volunteer for a few hours a month in programs like HISTOP, Pen Pals, or Reading Program. School-age children throughout the Lockport City School District benefit from interactions with our volunteers.

Friday night Bingo is the biggest fundraiser at The Dale Association with proceeds going to programs and services for the elderly. Volunteers help set up, sell tickets, call numbers, handle cash payouts, and clean up afterwards. Work once a month or more from 5:30-9:30 pm.

Volunteers assist adults with mild memory loss on Mondays or Fridays (10:00 am-2:00 pm) in our senior centre. Activities include baking, gardening, learning, socializing, eating lunch, creating, and providing peer support.

Our Dial-A-Lift service picks members up at their homes on Monday-Friday mornings and brings them into The Centre, providing a return trip home after lunch. Volunteers with a safe driving record are needed to drive our mini-van. You choose your day and hours!

As a Mission Specialist Volunteer, you will assist in facilitating space missions and educational programs for children and adults. Volunteers are essential to fulfilling the mission of the Challenger Learning Center, and opportunities are available for individuals of all ages.

Provide support to families in need by helping with food distribution and other essential services. This role involves direct interaction with community members.

Assist in the kitchen and on the floor with food preparation and distribution. Volunteers will help ensure that meals are prepared and served efficiently.

Volunteers are needed to assist with pickup truck pickups on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday mornings. Each shift requires about 1 hour of time to help with the logistics of food distribution.

Assist with administrative tasks and appointment scheduling on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:15am to 12:30pm. Volunteers will help manage schedules and provide general office support.

Assist with loading vehicles for food distribution on Mondays and Tuesdays. Volunteers will help organize and load supplies from 6:30am to 10:30am or 11:30am.
