The Paxtang Fire Company #1 is looking for volunteers who want to give back to their community to become an Active Firefighter, Driver / Operator, Junior Firefighter, EMT, Board Member, and or help in a fundraising / support role. The Paxtang Fire Company #1 is a 100% volunteer Fire Company founded in 1927, providing fire protection to the Harrisburg metropolitan and Central PA area. In exchange for free room and board, the live-in members will provide services to the fire company. Participate in TNR efforts to humanely reduce the stray cat population. Volunteers will assist in trapping, transporting, and releasing cats after spay/neuter procedures.

Assist with processing adoption applications to help find loving homes for kitties. Volunteers will review applications and communicate with potential adopters.

Assist in organizing and running adoption and fundraising events to support Cocoa Kitties. Volunteers will help with setup, coordination, and participant engagement.

Create visual content for marketing materials and social media to support Cocoa Kitties' outreach efforts. Volunteers will design flyers, posters, and online graphics.

Manage and create content for Cocoa Kitties' social media platforms to engage the community and promote adoption events.

Assist with the medical care of cats in the rescue, including administering medications and monitoring health. Volunteers with veterinary experience are preferred.

Help organize and execute fundraising events to support Cocoa Kitties' mission. Volunteers will work on event planning and donor outreach.

Assist in writing and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for Cocoa Kitties' programs. Volunteers will research potential grant opportunities and draft proposals.

Capture photos of cats and events to help promote adoptions and document Cocoa Kitties' activities. Volunteers will photograph kitties and events for use in marketing materials.

Assist with email campaigns to engage supporters and promote Cocoa Kitties' mission. Volunteers will draft and send emails to the community and potential adopters.

Provide transportation for cats to and from vet appointments, foster homes, and adoption events. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
