Hastings Fire department has 2 full time staff and Firefighter EMT and the Fire chief. We have 11 paid on call members. The department responds to approximately 1000 calls annually. we cover 148 Sq. miles in 5 townships and the city of Hastings population of 17,000. | Requirements: We are accepting applications from interested members of the community, who live within our fire district, No experience required! Must be 18 years old, unless applying as a cadet. FFI/II with EMT or MFR license preferred, however we will train the appropriate applicant. Must have a valid Drivers Lic, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Applicants with no licenses must be willing to take the FFI/II class within 24 months of joining the department, all fees paid by the department. Covering nearly 17,000 people over 60sq miles, we respond to nearly 900 calls for emergency services a year. Stock shelves and fridge, serve students, and manage inventory to ensure the snack room operates smoothly.

Assist with general paper and office work to support the administrative functions of the organization.

Learn the ministry inside and out, gaining valuable experience in a faith-based environment while supporting various activities and programs.

Help maintain the organization's website and Facebook page, ensuring content is up-to-date and engaging.

Monitor the homework room, assisting students with their assignments if you have expertise in subjects like math, English, or history.

Perform general minor repairs on the organization's van, games, furniture, and miscellaneous items.
