Hastings Fire department has 2 full time staff and Firefighter EMT and the Fire chief. We have 11 paid on call members. The department responds to approximately 1000 calls annually. we cover 148 Sq. miles in 5 townships and the city of Hastings population of 17,000. | Requirements: We are accepting applications from interested members of the community, who live within our fire district, No experience required! Must be 18 years old, unless applying as a cadet. FFI/II with EMT or MFR license preferred, however we will train the appropriate applicant. Must have a valid Drivers Lic, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Applicants with no licenses must be willing to take the FFI/II class within 24 months of joining the department, all fees paid by the department. Serve as a board member to support the Lakewood Area Choral Society in its mission to promote choral music. Responsibilities include attending meetings, participating in decision-making, and supporting the society's activities.

Volunteers with bookkeeping experience are needed to assist with paperwork and financial record-keeping tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining the organization's operations and ensuring accurate documentation.

Assist with various maintenance tasks in the donation storage building, such as sweeping floors, dusting shelves, sorting, organizing, and packing donations. Volunteers are needed for 3-5 hours a week, primarily on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with flexibility required based on donation schedules.

Assist in educating high school students about personal finance and investing. Volunteers will help develop and deliver educational materials and workshops to enhance financial literacy among students.

Volunteers will provide support for a single day during the retreat, assisting with various tasks as needed to ensure a successful event. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to help where needed.

Volunteers will assist as river guides during the 2-1/2 day retreats, helping participants with fly fishing techniques and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Volunteers should have knowledge of fly fishing for trout, including casting and setting up fly lines.

Volunteers will assist in the kitchen and on land during the retreats, ensuring that all logistical needs are met for a smooth retreat experience. Responsibilities include meal preparation and general support for retreat activities.

Assist in organizing and managing the Lori's Voice Walks at Berlin Raceway. Volunteers will help with event setup, guiding participants, and ensuring a smooth event flow. This role is crucial in creating an enjoyable experience for all attendees.

The Lowell Area Fire Department provides fire and ems services to the residents of the City of Lowell, Lowell Township, and Vergennes Township. Covering nearly 17,000 people over 60sq miles, we respond to nearly 900 calls for emergency services a year.
