Volunteers and their pets visit public and private care facilities, adult day care centers, hospitals, preschools, colleges, group homes, and libraries to provide comfort and companionship. Volunteers must complete a training process and demonstrate their pet's suitability for therapy work.

Help serve beverages, manage the beverage hall area, and ensure compliance with festival regulations. Volunteers should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Assist in managing the Family Fun Zone by supervising children, ensuring safety, and facilitating games and activities. Volunteers should be friendly and enjoy working with children.

Assist in selling festival souvenirs, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to attendees. Volunteers should be personable and have basic math skills.

Greet market customers, answer market-related questions, track attendance, and process EBT and Double Up Food Bucks transactions. Training provided on site.

Assist with clean up in the expo plaza, loading supplies in the market trailer, and tearing down market tents and signage. Volunteers should be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.

Assist with opening up expo plaza entrances, unloading supplies, setting up market info tent, signage, and other supplies. Volunteers should be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.

Assist The River ARC in various tasks to support refugee and immigrant families as they settle into their new communities. Volunteers may be involved in community engagement, resource distribution, and event support.

Offer transportation assistance to help refugee and immigrant families attend important appointments and access community resources. Volunteers should have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

Provide interpretation services to help refugee and immigrant families access essential resources and services. Volunteers should be fluent in multiple languages and assist in bridging communication gaps.

Assist with various tasks during concerts, including handing out programs, selling merchandise, and helping with concert promotion. Volunteers may also help move and set up instruments.

Volunteers are needed for various roles during the Drill Team Competition, including judging, timing, tabulating scores, and assisting with admissions and security. Volunteers must be available on Saturday, July 12, 2025, between 2 PM - 10 PM.

Help with administrative tasks such as publishing, database management, and handling contracts. Volunteers will support the organization's operational needs.

Volunteers are needed to assist with various roles during the Excellence Expo, including registration, guiding attendees, chaperoning sessions, and greeting attendees. Volunteers must be available on Friday, October 17, 2025, between 12 PM - 5 PM.

Assist in organizing and managing various community events in Downtown Waterloo. Responsibilities include setting up, guiding attendees, and ensuring smooth operations during events.

Over 120 years have passed since then and the Reinbeck Fire Department has developed as a volunteer community & rural Fire, EMS & Rescue organization with a high degree of professionalism. We have significant responsibilities to the citizens of Reinbeck and the rural areas we serve & protect. We are stewards in our community and we work hard to preserve & protect life & property in our Fire & EMS district. In order to continue with the high standards we have set for ourselves & our citizens, a procedure has been established to screen applications for membership to the Reinbeck Fire Department. | Requirements: If accepted as a member of the Reinbeck Fire Department, you will be expected to help maintain our high level of professionalism within our community as you are representing all members of this public safety department at any time. In order to accomplish this worthy task, you will be expected to maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. You will also be expected to be available to attend training sessions and give freely of your time to attend fires, EMS calls, meetings, drills / practice sessions and work on committees to help further the mission & vision of the Reinbeck Fire Department. Fire & EMS Training meetings are held the SECOND MONDAY of each month and Business meetings are held the LAST MONDAY of each month. There are also times that special training sessions are scheduled as needed and might be held on weekends. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Monthly equipment inspections & vehicle maintenance checks • Helping to maintain cleanliness of all vehicles & equipment • Personal gear & protective equipment checks • Station housekeeping duties • Maintaining any Fire / EMS or Rescue certifications that you may obtain as a member • Voting privileges • Submitting to a baseline physical exam to determine the ability to physically & safety perform the required duties of a firefighter | Categories: Firefighter, EMT
