The WHVFD is a group of individuals dedicated to the preservation of life and property to the best of abilities without expectation of personal gain. It shall attempt to provide aid to any individual or agency so long as it does not endanger the white hall community. Upon acceptance, applicants shall be deemed a probationary member for no less than six (6) months. -Probationary firefighters shall be familiar with the by-laws and the rules & regulations of the WHVFD while receiving a minimum of twenty (20) hours of approved fire training. In addition to fire prevention and suppression, firefighters are expected to participate in public relations activities, equipment maintenance and station cleanup, fund raising and community service activities.
