ReStore volunteers assist with receiving donations, organizing merchandise, and helping customers. This role supports the mission by raising funds to build homes for those in need.

Volunteers help with various tasks including home construction, neighborhood revitalization, and assisting at the ReStore. No prior experience is necessary, and training is provided on-site.

Volunteers participate in plantings, clean-ups, and other essential projects to help parks thrive. Responsibilities include removing litter, invasive plants, and maintaining trails.

Volunteers help organize and assist at community events such as street fairs and farmer’s markets, as well as fundraising events throughout the year. Responsibilities include event planning and on-site support.

Foster volunteers provide temporary care in their homes for animals, preparing them for adoption. Responsibilities include providing a safe environment, attending vet appointments, and participating in adoption days.

Volunteers are needed to drive one-hour legs of transport trips for animals being moved from high-kill shelters in the South to New Jersey. Volunteers also transport animals to and from local vet appointments.

Act as a referee for the Rescue Maze event, overseeing the competition and ensuring compliance with the rules.

Serve as a referee for the Soccer League during the RoboCupJunior USA competition. Ensure fair play and adherence to competition rules.

Judge performances in the OnStage League, evaluating creativity, technical skills, and overall presentation.

Assist in coordinating the Rescue Line events, ensuring smooth operation and assisting participants as needed.

Volunteers help maintain trails by removing fallen trees, cleaning drainage pipes, and ensuring trails are safe and accessible. Tasks may include applying gravel and pruning vegetation.

The Green Brook Fire Department has been providing fire protection and rescue services to the residents and visitors to the Township of Green Brook since 1928. The membership consists of 100% volunteers. The Department is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals for essential community service. After joining the Department you will be provided all necessary training and protective clothing by the Township at no charge. Green Brook is a small community with mainly residential homes, some townhome / condominium complexes and a commercial corridor on US Highway 22. The department averages 225- 275 calls a year. Prospective Junior or Regular Probationary applicants must live in Green Brook or within 10 minutes of Firehouse #1 or Firehouse #2. The regular probation period is 1 year. In that time frame you must be able to attend and pass a NJ State certified Firefighter 1 Course. The FF 1 course is usually 2 nights a week and 1 day on the weekend for approximately 3.5 months. Help with the maintenance of pollinator and native plant gardens. Tasks include planting, weeding, and watering to promote a healthy ecosystem in Brightwood Park.

Assist with posting Friends of Brightwood Park activities on social media platforms. Capture and share the essence of events to engage the community and promote the park's activities.

Assist with operations at our Thrift shop, helping to organize and manage items for sale. Volunteers will contribute to fundraising efforts that support our animal rescue mission.

Provide exercise and socialization for dogs and cats in our care. Volunteers will help improve the animals' quality of life and prepare them for adoption by spending time walking dogs and socializing with cats.

Participate in organizing and executing fundraising events to support our life-saving programs. Volunteers will engage with the community to raise awareness and funds for our rescue efforts.

Help with off-site adoption events by setting up, interacting with potential adopters, and assisting with the care of animals during the event. Volunteers will play a crucial role in finding homes for our animals.
