Superior Fire Department
The Superior Fire Department Fire Corps is seeking community minded volunteers to assist the fire department in several Fire/Life Safety/Emergency Response programs. The Superior Fire Corps is a volunteer component of the Superior Fire Department and is affiliated with the national Fire Corps program. Fire Corps was formed under the national Citizen Corps initiative, designed to help communities prevent, prepare for, and respond to natural disasters and other emergencies. Superior Fire Corps Volunteers may conduct FIREWISE Community Wildfire Risk Assessments, advise residents on wildfire prevention techniques, conduct home fire safety visits, provide free smoke detectors for residents, instruct first aid and CPR training for the public, and similar Fire/Life Safety services for the community. Fire Corps Volunteers may belong to the Superior Emergency Response Team (SERT) to assist victims of fires and accidents as Victim Assistance Officers, assist Superior Fire and Police Departments at special events with fire lane and traffic control, staff first aid stations, monitor public safety, radio communications, search and rescue on the LOST trail system, and similar public safety functions. Fire Corps Volunteers may also assist with other fire department functions such as administration, training, fire cadet program, fleet services, etc. | Requirements: Superior Fire Department Fire Corps Volunteers are volunteer/unpaid employees of the Town Of Superior. Fire Corps Volunteers will submit an application to the Town Of Superior and be interviewed by the Superior Fire Department.
