Station 11 is one of 3 all volunteer departments providing service to the 18 square miles of South Whitehall Township as well as the surrounding communities of Lehigh County. We are seeking individuals with a desire to serve with us in the protection of life and property by providing services in firefighting, rescue and emergency medical response as well as supporting the administrative functions necessary to ensure those serving as firefighters have the means and support to provide the best trained and equipped firefighters quickly and efficiently to the scene of any call for service. No matter your level of interest and ability we have an opportunity available for you. All necessary training and equipment is provided by the department free of charge. Benefits of membership: All necessary training and equipment is provided by the department free of charge, including additional training opportunities beyond initial entry qualification. Members area able to use the resource of our engine house, such as free wifi and computer access, spacious lounge and training room. Members are eligible for discounted services such as access to ATT first net cellular program as well as other numerous community discounts for emergency services personnel. We provide a gym re-imbursement and well as a stipend for responses and staffing of the fire house. | Requirements: No prior experience is required. Junior members must be age 14 or older and have the permission of their parents to join. Adults age 18 and older must have a clean criminal record subject to investigation to a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal background check and a Pennsylvania Health and Service Child Line investigation. Operators of vehicles must have a clean driving record. All applicants must undergo an interview and be approved by the general membership of the organization.
