Experienced volunteer leaders support travelers with personal finances, organization, problem solving, and socialization on tour. They supervise scheduled activities and ensure a smooth travel experience for all participants.

Volunteers help with setting up and breaking down the market, counting shoppers, handing out surveys, helping people carry items, and answering questions. There are also opportunities to assist with language skills, writing, graphic design, and social media.

Capture the beauty of the gardens and events through photography. Volunteers will document the progress and activities in the gardens.

Help prepare fresh soup and meals, which are frozen and delivered to local food distribution organizations. Work in collaboration with Something Savory and Food Link.

Drive Food Link vans to various destinations for grocery shifts, pickup/delivery shifts, and bulk-pickups. Requires a valid driver’s license and completion of a 1-hour van training.

Participate in group volunteering for team building and community service. Tasks include sorting produce, packing boxes, and organizing food items. Groups of 7-10 volunteers are scheduled for 1 to 1.5-hour shifts.

Assist with daily tasks including sorting produce, loading/unloading vehicles, repacking food, and clean-up tasks. Volunteers help customize deliveries by packing food according to agency preferences.

Volunteers sort food and then load boxes into their personal vehicle for transport to a recipient agency or back to the Food Link Hub. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

Groups of 2-5 volunteers meet at the loading dock of a grocery store to sort and pack rescued food. Quality sorting is crucial to ensure that our agencies receive high-quality food and their recipients receive food with dignity and respect.

Drivers pick up food from donors and deliver it to recipient agencies or the Food Link Hub. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required. Passengers of any age can assist with loading and unloading.

Provide technical and event support for individual concerts, including setup and breakdown of equipment, and assisting with event logistics.

Assist the Boston New Music Initiative staff with marketing efforts for specific projects and general support. Responsibilities include creating promotional materials and managing social media accounts.

Gain valuable professional experience in arts administration by assisting with various administrative tasks, event planning, and coordination. College credit may be available depending on school requirements.

Support the membership team by engaging with current and potential members, assisting with membership drives, and maintaining membership records.
