Assist with the daily care and rehabilitation of rescued donkeys, mules, and horses. Responsibilities include feeding, grooming, and providing general care to the animals, as well as maintaining clean and safe facilities.

Take photos of adoptable cats for their profiles on the website and social media. Photos can be taken at your convenience and may also be used for fundraising events like Santa Photos.

Assist with cage cleaning and socializing cats at the PetSmart Adoption Center in Prosper, TX. Volunteers are needed every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Senior volunteers should be available one day a month and be at least 18 years old. Other volunteers can sign up when convenient and should be at least 14 years old.

Provide care for dogs in the rescue, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Volunteers should be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Transport dogs to and from foster homes, vet appointments, and adoption events. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

Assist in organizing and attending events to support the rescue. Volunteers may help with setup, manage booths, and engage with the public to raise awareness about the rescue's mission.

Offer respite care by spending time with individuals living with Alzheimer’s, providing companionship through phone calls, visits, or virtual chats to reduce feelings of isolation for patients and families.

Offer remote support by moderating online forums, creating digital content, or helping with social media outreach. Tutor or teach technology skills to seniors or caregivers.

Assist with office tasks such as data entry, answering phones, organizing files, or managing donor databases. Help with mailings, newsletters, or preparing materials for outreach programs.

Use artistic talents to create artwork, music, or crafts for events, fundraising, or therapeutic purposes. Lead art therapy sessions or other creative activities for individuals with Alzheimer’s.

Drive individuals with Alzheimer’s to medical appointments, grocery stores, or social activities. Help with errands like picking up prescriptions or delivering meals.

Facilitate or assist in caregiver or patient support groups, offering emotional support. Train to become a peer counselor or mentor for families navigating Alzheimer’s challenges.

Raise awareness about Alzheimer’s in your community through talks, workshops, or social media campaigns. Distribute educational materials at local events, libraries, or healthcare centers.

Help organize or assist at fundraising events like walks, galas, or charity runs. Responsibilities include setting up booths, managing registration, handing out materials, or cheering on participants during events.

Cat room volunteers help clean litter boxes, replace food and water in kennels, replace bedding, play with cats and kittens, and give them TLC and snuggles at the PetSmart Adoption Center in Frisco, Texas.

Participate in an advisory board committee focusing on areas such as audit, communication, public relations, finance, fundraising, marketing, and more. Volunteers will help strengthen TLT's programs through community partnerships and organizational development.

Adoption event volunteers help set up before the event, break down tables and/or tents after the event, assist with meet and greets of cats or dogs, take dogs for walks, talk with event visitors about the rescue, and hand out giveaways.

Participate in monthly virtual meetings to review items requested by the board. This role is open to individuals aged 16–25, with opportunities for in-person events as well.

Transport volunteers help the rescue pick up animals quickly from local and rural shelters, transporting them to fosters, adoption events, or vet appointments. Most shelters are within a 60-minute drive of Frisco, Texas.

Serve as a mentor for remote TLT Leading Leaders Intern sessions, guiding interns aged 15 and older. This opportunity is 100% remote and occurs three times a year, focusing on leadership and professional development.
