The Big Walnut Joint Fire District is a part time fire department serving the citizens of Southern Morrow County, Ohio. We are looking for hard-working, dedicated men and women to serve as firefighters. We respond to structure fires, grass and wildfires, auto accidents and with Morrow County EMS on emergency medical calls. Our fire protection district covers approximately 6,800 residents covering 75 square miles in southeast Morrow County, which includes 12 miles of Interstate 71. We pay for volunteer firefighter certification training and equipment for residents. No EMT certification is required. Help transform food and yard waste into healthy soil amendments. Volunteers will assist local residents and restaurants in creating a circular food system by recapturing compostable waste.

Assist with organizing and running special events and fundraisers to support Maiden's Hope. Volunteers will help with event setup, management, and participant engagement.

After being accepted by the Fire Department you will need Firefighter and Emergency Medical training. You will be scheduled at state certified training facilities for training that accommodates your schedule. You must complete the training and receive State of Ohio Fire/EMS Training Certificates.
