We are a small department located in the Eastern portion of Newberry County. We operate fire/rescue/medical first responder/EMS. We are looking for Firefighters, EMT's or Paramedics that reside within the boundaries of Newberry County and have a desire to serve the community. Fire averages around 300 calls a year, Rescue averages around 400 calls a year. We operate 2 engines, 1 pumper/tanker, 1 service truck, 1 brush truck, 1 medium duty rescue, 1 medical QRV, 1 transport ambulance, 1 rescue UTV, 1 brush UTV and 1 boat. Our area is a mix of rural residential, light commercial, light manufacturing and we cover a portion of Lake Murray and Interstate 26. We have automatic aid agreements with surrounding departments in Newberry County and Lexington County and a mutual aid agreement with Columbia Fire Department. Identify and recruit speakers, exhibitors, and panelists for PAGE Five events. Volunteers will leverage their networks to enhance event programming.

Write engaging content for PAGE Five's e-newsletter. Volunteers will summarize events and topics to support parents of gifted and talented students.

Design printed and digital materials such as flyers, banners, and brochures for PAGE Five events. Your design skills will help promote and enhance the visibility of our programs.

Assist in purchasing supplies for events. Volunteers will use their budgeting skills to find good deals and manage event resources efficiently.

Assist with cleaning up and packing after events. Volunteers ensure that venues are left tidy and organized post-event.

Manage and update PAGE Five's social media presence. Volunteers will keep the community informed about activities and events through various platforms.

Welcome members, visitors, and special guests to PAGE Five events. Volunteers will ensure a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

Serve as a judge for academic challenges, grants, and scholarships. Volunteers will evaluate and rate applications and performances.

Plan, organize, and execute events for PAGE Five. Volunteers will manage logistics and ensure successful event delivery.

Share professional experiences and advice with gifted and talented students. Volunteers will contribute to newsletters and enrichment fairs.

Volunteer as a coach or advisor for academic teams, particularly in math or science contests. Your expertise will help guide and prepare students for competitions.

Facilitate online discussions among parents about raising gifted children. Volunteers will engage and moderate conversations in a virtual setting.

Capture photos and videos of PAGE Five events. Volunteers will document activities for promotional and archival purposes.

Help transform spaces and decorate for special events such as welcome receptions and enrichment fairs. Your creativity will enhance the ambiance of PAGE Five events.

Volunteers are needed to provide direct service to the bereaved community, offering support and assistance to families dealing with grief. Responsibilities may include facilitating group discussions, providing emotional support, and assisting with events.

Volunteers with special talents are encouraged to share their skills to support Jacoby’s Shield's mission. This may include arts, crafts, music, or any other talent that could benefit the grieving community.

Assist with the preparation and staffing of book sales events to support the library. Volunteers will help organize books, manage sales, and interact with the community.

Help stock Little Free Libraries in the community with books and materials. Volunteers will ensure these community resources are well-maintained and accessible.

Help maintain and update the Friends of the Irmo Branch Library's website. Volunteers will ensure information is current and assist with technical updates as needed.
