Help with transporting dogs to and from events, vet visits, and meet and greets. Volunteers ensure safe and timely travel for the dogs.

The Moyers Corners Fire Department is a 100% Volunteer Fire Department serving our community since 1948. We currently have openings at each of our four fire stations located in the Town of Clay, Onondaga County, New York. No experience necessary, we provide the training and equipment. We are looking for anyone living in the North Syracuse area interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter with the North Syracuse Fire Department. We are a very progressive department that currently is staffed with 40 firefighters including some that are also Paramedics and Emt's. We currently operate out of two stations with 3 Engines,1 Heavy Rescue, 1 Tower Ladder, 2 Light Rescues all under the direction of 3 Fire Chief's. We run approximately 700-800 calls of service a year. The North Syracuse Fire Department offers a free room and board program for student who are attending local colleges. Each bunk-in is provided a place to live during their college semester. In exchange for the free room and board the student attends weekly fire department training and provides a service as a volunteer firefighter during a scheduled shift. Raise awareness for the Food Bank at special events. Volunteers will help with various tasks to ensure events run smoothly and effectively promote the mission of the Food Bank.

Ring a bell at one of our iconic red kettles from early November through Christmas Eve, raising funds that change lives all year long. Volunteers are the difference between an empty kettle and one that raises about $50 per hour.
