We are looking for anyone living in the North Syracuse area interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter with the North Syracuse Fire Department. We are a very progressive department that currently is staffed with 40 firefighters including some that are also Paramedics and Emt's. We currently operate out of two stations with 3 Engines,1 Heavy Rescue, 1 Tower Ladder, 2 Light Rescues all under the direction of 3 Fire Chief's. We run approximately 700-800 calls of service a year. In exchange for the free room and board the student attends weekly fire department training and provides a service as a volunteer firefighter during a scheduled shift.
