Greet volunteers, parents, guardians, and participants as they arrive, help direct them, and answer questions.

Ensure the horse is groomed and tacked appropriately, warm up the horse before sessions, lead and handle the horse to assist with a safe and enriching environment for horses, riders, and volunteers during sessions.

Provide support and security to the rider throughout the session, including encouraging the rider, demonstrating exercises, and assisting with social and motor skills.

Assist with locating and prepping tack, grooming horses as needed, and returning equipment to the proper location when the session is completed.

Assist with setting up the arena and equipment, and ensure everything is cleaned and returned after sessions.

Owen Valley Fire Territory is a combination fire department comprised of volunteer, part-time, and career firefighters. We provide an array of Fire Suppression, EMS (non-transport), Technical Rescue, and Community Education in Spencer Indiana. We are always looking for individuals to join our growing team.
