Disaster Responders receive training to assist in disaster situations involving animals. They must complete specific training courses and are called to assist in preparedness efforts or crisis situations.

Foster homes are needed in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Fosters provide a loving home and help prepare dogs for their forever homes. FADR covers all expenses, including food, while the dog is in the foster home.

Volunteers are needed to drive foster dogs to and from vet appointments and events, pick up new dogs from transport, and assist at adoption and awareness events. Volunteers will also help promote FADR and raise awareness about Dachshunds as pets.
