Volunteers can help with various tasks, from a few hours a week to specific events or periods of the year.

Assist in organizing and conducting youth activities that promote activity and fun. Help create a safe, screen-free, creative environment for children while parents attend classes or use the fitness facilities.

Support the Kids Healthy Cooking Class by helping children learn to craft mouthwatering dishes. Encourage healthy eating habits and inspire future chefs in a fun and engaging environment.

This may include litter pick up, raking, shoveling, exhibit maintenance... whatever the zoo needs at the moment.

Our volunteer meetings are generally held at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of a given month. Meetings are generally held at the Red River Zoo, unless specified otherwise. Each volunteer meeting is an opportunity to learn what's happening at the Zoo, what volunteer opportunities are available, and visit with your fellow volunteers. We also try to have guest speakers.

This person will fill Dippin Dots to prepare for events or rentals.

Volunteer with Valley Senior Services by helping deliver hot, nutritious meals to seniors at their homes in your local community. Volunteers receive a route with detailed driving and delivery instructions, with an average of 8-12 stops per route.

Help prepare and serve meals to seniors at local dining centers in your community. Enjoy conversing with seniors at their table and making meaningful connections.

Assist in sorting food donations at the pantry to ensure they are ready for distribution. Volunteers will help organize and categorize food items to maintain an efficient pantry operation.

Help distribute food to individuals and families in need. Volunteers will assist with the setup, organization, and distribution of food items to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Assist with maintenance work at the pantry to ensure a clean and safe environment. Volunteers will help with general upkeep and minor repairs as needed.

Assist in the restoration of historic aircraft. Volunteers will work with a team to preserve and restore aircraft to display condition, learning about aviation history and techniques.

Support educational programs by assisting with day-camps, seminars, and tours. Engage with participants of all ages to promote aviation education and inspire future aviators.

Assist with the preparation and dismantling of events at the museum. Volunteers will help arrange spaces for events and ensure smooth transitions before and after events.

Assist with setting up and taking down equipment and materials for concerts. Volunteers will help ensure the smooth operation of events and have the opportunity to see the show at no cost.

Assist in repairing and modifying homes for individuals in need, including those with disabilities, seniors, and veterans. Volunteers will work alongside contractors to ensure safe and healthy housing for all participants.
