Mentors will engage with male adolescents to encourage positive choices, promote high self-esteem, and support academic achievement. Mentors come from diverse backgrounds and are expected to have a desire to lead and positively influence young lives.

As a mentor, you will provide supportive mentoring that improves self-worth for young people. You need to be authentic, genuinely care, and just keep showing up. Connections will fully equip you with the skills and support necessary to be great.

In Bigs & Littles NYC’s keystone mentoring program, youth ages 7-19 are carefully matched with a Big Sister or Big Brother who serves as adviser, role model, and adult friend. Matches are supported by a dedicated Professional Program Manager to oversee and guide the match relationship offering referrals and additional resources as needed.

As a volunteer mentor, you will connect with young people, supporting and engaging with them to champion their individual needs, goals, and interests. This role is part of our commitment to Youth and Family Well-Being.

Oliver Mentors are adult professionals who provide career advice, personal counseling, and academic and financial guidance. As a role model, a Mentor shares their unique perspective and experiences with the Scholar.

As a Peer Mentoring Tutor, volunteers will help students struggling with distance learning by providing tutoring services in various subjects. Volunteers will work virtually, ensuring quality education and support for students.

Volunteer at the Edison Youth Center to mentor children and support their mental wellness through arts and culture activities. Volunteers should be enthusiastic, punctual, and willing to give back to the community.

Volunteers are needed to help mentor, tutor, and motivate youth and adults. This opportunity is ideal for college students, graduates, and retired educators who are passionate about education and youth development.

As a mentor, you will guide and support students in our leadership development program, sharing your experiences and best practices to help them grow. This role involves engaging with students across various cultural and professional backgrounds.

Volunteers are needed to mentor youth in the Liftoffs program, which focuses on providing guidance and support to young individuals in the community. Volunteers must undergo a basic background check before participating.

L.O.V.E. supports and empowers young women to strive both in school and life through positive role modeling. Mentors take the lead in supporting a young woman through an ongoing relationship, serve as a positive role model, help set goals, build self-esteem and motivation, and be a willing listener.
