At Apollo Hose Company #2 we are always looking for motivated members to join our ranks. We have various classes of memberships currently including Class A firefighters these are active responders on various emergency calls. Class B fire personnel, these are what most would call a social member. These members help us out at all of our fundraising events to help raise funds for the department. Honorary members, these are members who respond on emergencies and function as firefighters but do not have voting right in meetings due to living out of our normal response area. Externs act as the eyes, ears, and muscles on the ground, supporting ecological restoration and waste reutilization projects. Volunteers will work closely with project leads and landowners to implement sustainable practices and innovations.

Volunteers assist with clerical tasks such as filing and may require basic computer knowledge. Opportunities are available in several hospital departments.

Volunteers with well-behaved pets visit patients in the Skilled Nursing Unit, Acute Care Unit, and Psychiatric Unit. Pets must be pre-screened, have up-to-date shot records, and be approved by a certified occupational therapy assistant.

Volunteers operate the cash register and assist with basic merchandising duties in the hospital's gift shop. This role is ideal for those who enjoy interacting with people in a busy environment.

Volunteers deliver interdepartmental mail using a courier cart, covering 3-4 miles during a four-hour shift. This role is suitable for those who enjoy staying active while volunteering.

Auxiliary members can serve as elected officers or chairpersons, attend board meetings, and help implement changes and improvements in service areas. Opportunities for leadership development are available.

Responsible for greeting and escorting new patients to Registration and/or Triage area. Acts as a liaison between family members in the waiting room and staff, and the patient in the treatment area. Volunteers also escort family members to the patient being treated when appropriate.

Volunteers observe therapists at work, run errands, bring patients to the gym for therapy treatments, and help out as needed. This opportunity provides insight into the physical therapy profession.
