Assist in the daily care and rehabilitation of rescue animals, ensuring they are fed, groomed, and provided with a safe environment. Volunteers will also help in maintaining the sanctuary facilities.

Volunteers are responsible for cleaning pastures, grooming and fly spraying horses, restocking supplies, and cleaning tack. Those with appropriate horse experience may walk or exercise horses. Volunteers also assist with event setup and other tasks.

Ambassadors in the Training category assist with the training of horses, including basic groundwork and desensitizing exercises. Volunteers help horses learn to trust humans again and prepare them for adoption.

Ambassadors in the Care category are responsible for providing love and care to the horses, including grooming, spending quality time, and mucking stalls and paddocks. This role requires a commitment to serving the horses as their advocate, caregiver, and friend.

Ambassadors in the Facility Maintenance category help maintain the ranch facilities, ensuring they remain in premium condition for the horses. Tasks include trimming trees, managing weeds, and deep cleaning barns.

As an AIR Responder, you will provide relief and safety to animals in large-scale cruelty situations or disasters. Responsibilities include animal intake, transport, emergency sheltering, and providing veterinary support. Volunteers must be 18 years or older and attend a Responder Orientation.

Assist in bagging pet food in the warehouse for distribution. Volunteers will help prepare pet food for delivery to those in need.

Work at local events in the greater Fort Worth area to educate the public about the mission of DF2FM. Volunteers will engage with the community to spread awareness and support for pet food insecurity.
