Volunteer firefighters are an essential component of that professionalism. Tillamook Fire District provides fire & rescue services to the citizens of the City of Tillamook and surrounding rural communities. Becoming a volunteer is a great opportunity to give back to the community where we choose to live! The district employs four (4) full-time career staff and utilizes volunteers and residents to supplement staffing. Career staffing includes the positions of Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, BC- Logistics, and BC - Training Officer. Career firefighters provide coverage during the normal 8-5 workday. Resident sleepers and volunteers provide coverage during the evening hours. | Requirements: The district provides the following to all Volunteers: • Workers Compensation Insurance • Stipend - Training • Stipend - Emergency Volunteers are not employees of the district and receive no additional compensation or benefits.
