Mentors work one-on-one with young adults exiting the foster care system, acting as trusted guides, role models, advocates, and friends. Volunteers are encouraged to become familiar with the young adults' stories and challenges to serve them effectively.

Behind the scenes volunteers provide administrative and operational support to Refuge of Hope. They assist with tasks that help the organization run smoothly and efficiently, supporting the mission to aid young adults transitioning out of foster care.

Manage and create content for social media platforms to increase awareness and engagement with Perpetual Care's mission and services.

Transport pets to and from veterinary appointments or to new homes, ensuring their safety and comfort during the journey.

Provide training and behavior modification for dogs to improve their adoptability and ensure they are well-behaved in their new homes.

Capture high-quality images of pets for adoption listings and promotional materials to help them find loving homes.

Provide temporary homes for pets in need, ensuring they receive care and attention until a permanent home is found.

Assist with repairing and maintaining fences around the property to ensure the safety and security of the horses. Volunteers will work with tools and materials to fix and reinforce fencing.

Provide emotional support and counseling to individuals grieving the loss of a pet, helping them cope with their loss.

Help maintain the farm and garden areas, including planting, weeding, and general upkeep. Volunteers contribute to the overall appearance and functionality of the rescue's outdoor spaces.

Assist with cleaning stalls, organizing tack, and maintaining the barn to ensure a safe and clean environment for the horses. Volunteers play a crucial role in the daily upkeep of the rescue facilities.

Visit nursing facilities with pets to provide companionship and joy to residents, enhancing their quality of life.

Assist with bathing and turning out horses, ensuring they are clean and have time to exercise. Volunteers will help groom and care for the horses as part of their daily routine.

Participate in hands-on opportunities to work with wildlife, including preparing diets, feeding animals, and cleaning enclosures. This role supports wildlife rehabilitation and requires a commitment to at least one day per week.

Assist with the adoption process by helping match pets with potential adopters and facilitating the adoption paperwork.

Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility and grounds, ensuring a welcoming environment for pets and visitors.

Offer support and guidance over the phone to pet owners and potential adopters, answering questions and providing information about services.

Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence to support the smooth operation of Perpetual Care's services.

Help with the feeding of horses, ensuring they receive the proper nutrition and care. Volunteers will assist with distributing feed and monitoring the horses' health and well-being.

Assist in organizing and facilitating bi-weekly Maker Meetups at Infinite Ale Works. Volunteers will help set up the space, welcome participants, and support collaborative projects during the meetups.

Volunteers are needed to help with tasks such as grooming, exercising, and feeding the horses. This role offers a fulfilling and rewarding experience, making a difference in the lives of rescued horses.
