Northwest Fire Prot Dist
We are currently seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to provide a vital service to the fire district by becoming a volunteer firefighter. The Northwest Fire Protection District has been providing fire & rescue service sense 1946 and serves a population of approximately 9,000 residents. The District operates out of two fire stations with 3 engines, 2 aerials, 1 medium duty rescue truck, 2 support vehicles and 2 Chief vehicles. We are an ISO Class 3 rated department that provides exceptional fire and rescue services through a combination of a full time Fire Chief, part time personnel and 26 paid on call firefighters. The District on average responds to between 300-350 calls a year as well as providing various levels of auto and mutual aid to our neighboring Departments. We offer educational incentives for fire department related training upon completion of your Basic Firefighter Certification. All firefighters are covered by workers compensation insurance. Join the rescue team to help with the rescue and care of abandoned and neglected rabbits. Volunteers will assist in handling rabbits and ensuring their well-being.

East Side Fire Protection District
The East Side Fire Department provides fire suppression and auto extrication services in the eastern unincorporated areas of Belleville and the southwest portions of Shiloh. We respond to approximately 400 calls per year including building fires, vehicle fires, brush fires, vehicle accidents, electrical hazards, fire alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, potential leaks, weather related incidents, and various other calls. We operate out of two stations. Station 1 is located at 1723 N Belt East, Belleville, IL 62221. Station 2 is located at 3111 East B Street Rd, Belleville, IL 62221. We respond to a wide variety of calls including structure fires, vehicle extrications, rope rescue, and water/ ice rescue. The Fairview Fire Department responds to approximately 500 calls per year. We offer education incentives for fire department related training, including college courses. All of our firefighters will receive standard workers compensation insurance, and additional insurance coverages including a life insurance policy.
