We offer hands-on Reading tutoring opportunity for students.

Every Monday of the week we offer a variety of programming ranging from Boy Mentoring, Girls Mentoring and our interactive Earn & Learn program. Each of these programs need additional hands to ensure that we are supporting the youth in the community.

Help sort food donations and stock shelves to maintain an organized food pantry. Volunteers play a crucial role in keeping the food distribution process efficient and effective.

Contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment by assisting with cleaning tasks around the facility. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and hygienic space for food distribution.

Lunch Buddies is an opportunity for kids and volunteers to have lunch and recess together while building supportive friendships. The program will take place at various schools in Ypsilanti.

We have an occasional need for trucks and drivers to assist with various logistics. This opportunity requires a willingness to help when possible, with no specific expectations of commitment.

As a community, we rely heavily on our volunteers for periodic events such as our annual resource fair and mentee activities such as moves. The more people we have active in our community, the more needs we can address.

Costume Volunteers assist with sewing and problem-solving tasks related to costumes. Volunteers should have a basic understanding of sewing, attention to detail, and weekday availability.

Ushering is a straightforward and minimal time commitment way to volunteer at Inspire Theatre. Volunteers are required to show up 1 hour before a performance and stay 15 minutes afterward for light clean-up. Responsibilities include selling 50/50 tickets, handing out and collecting ballot forms for intermission drawings, or helping in the box office.

Set Build volunteers help with tasks from construction and painting to general tasks. Volunteers should be comfortable with power tools and interested in contributing to the set of a community theatre. The commitment involves 4-6 weeks of build time for each production, primarily on Saturdays.

General Volunteers assist with mass mailings, poster/card distribution, planting and watering flowers, and building cleaning/organizing. This role requires minimal time commitment and light workload.
