As a volunteer crisis counselor, you will provide empathetic support to individuals in crisis through our hotline. You will undergo a comprehensive training program that includes 150 hours of training on crisis intervention techniques, both in-person and virtually.

Explorer meetings are generally on Wednesday nights from 7 pm to 9 pm. We have activities on other days depending upon the needs of the Fire Department or outside training. As an instructor for English Language Learners, you will provide small group instruction for beginner level English language learners. Classes meet for 6 hours, 2 times a week from September to June.
