Bare Paws Rescue seeks dedicated volunteers to help with various tasks, including administrative support and assisting with the care of foster dogs. Volunteers can make a significant difference even if they are unable to foster.

Volunteers are needed to sew pajamas and other clothes for Chinese Cresteds and other small dogs. The proceeds from these items benefit Bare Paws Rescue.

The Sanbornton Fire & Rescue Department is a "combination" department made up of three full-time and 15 On-Call / Per Diem members that protect a 50 square mile area with a full time population of 3,000 people that swells to over 8,000 in the summer months, the department responds to around 500 calls per year. | Requirements: You can either be a firefighter or EMT or Both. EMS personnel need to a be at a minimum of Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic or be willing to get certified within 1 year. If you are interested in both aspects, you will need to start out as either Firefighter or EMS personnel first and then we will help you expand your training. The work and training are difficult, the commitment is required but the rewards are immeasurable.
