The Saint David Fire District is seeking volunteer Firefighters, Firefighter / EMTs and Firefighter / Paramedics. Must live within 15 minutes of station (waiver available at Chief's discretion). No experience? We'll train. | Requirements: No requirements necessary except for medical positions which require AZ EMCT or AZ CEP, ACLS, PALS, ALS/BLS Healthcare Provider certifications and approval of the Base Hospital. Firefighter 1/2 certifications preferred Wildland Firefighter 1 or 2 perferred Military or other Emergency Services experience preferred. MUST pass a department specific firefighter physical and respiratory function test, criminial background check and drug test. Any or all of these may be requested at any time during your membership. You must acomplete your firefighter task books, attend a minimum number of trainings each year, attend ALL mandatory trainings and meetings. Your participation in department events and calls will also be graded (with allowances for your specific work situation). The primary function of a Mescal-J6 Volunteer Firefighter and Firefighter/EMT is to protect the community from disaster situations, including house and building fires, and promote an environment of public safety within the Districts response area. This position also participates in fire prevention and inspection activities, equipment and quarters maintenance, and training dealing with all phases of fire suppression, prevention, inspection, rescue and emergency operation. Previous experience is preferred, but not necessary. Preference will be given to those with current Arizona Firefighter II and National Registry Emergency Medical Technician certifications, | Requirements: Minimum qualifications to be a Mescal-J6 Volunteer Firefighter • High school diploma or GED equivalency; and • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application; • Must possess a valid Arizona Driver License w/ no more than two moving violations in the previous five years. • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation and employer reference check. • Successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen (paid for by MJFD) • Must attend no less than two training sessions/ drills per month and be available for 2) twelve-hour coverage shifts per month. • Must respond to no less than seven emergency incidents per month. | Categories: EMT, Firefighter

The primary function of a Mescal-J6 Non -Operational Volunteer is to support the mission of the Mescal-J6 Fire District by performing functions other than fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue or similar activities that require the volunteer to enter a hazardous area in order to complete their assigned task .
