Participate in prescribed burns to help restore thousands of acres of land, creating a thriving environment for plants and wildlife. Volunteers will receive training, professional guidance on burn preparation and planning, and access to specialized burn equipment.

Volunteers will assist in organizing and participating in community events that support individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Responsibilities include event setup, participant engagement, and promoting awareness and inclusion.

Volunteers are on call by use of pagers. They respond directly to emergency scenes or to their closest station. Residency is required to be in District or living in any connecting city, township, or Village. Duty shift volunteers have no residency restrictions, however, they are not on call for emergencies and will not be issued a pager. Duty shift volunteers schedule themselves to work a minimum of 24 hours a month at either of the stations. They may be called in the event of a large incident. Operators are on call and trained to take over pump operations at emergency scenes. They are responsible for maintaining proper water flow and supply.
