We also provides ems coverage for many sporting events in and around Wilson Coutny. Volunteers with writing skills are needed to assist in researching and writing grant proposals to secure funding for the shelter. This role is crucial in helping the organization sustain its operations.

Volunteers are needed to provide hands-on care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and socializing. Volunteers will also assist with cleaning animal areas to maintain a healthy environment.

Assist in organizing and executing fundraising events to support the shelter's operations. Volunteers will help with planning, promoting, and managing events to raise funds for animal care.

Respond to residential, business and other structural fires. They work to suppress the fire using a number of means, including laying water lines, putting up ladders, creating necessary ventilation and entering the property, if necessary. Volunteer firefighters report to their station's captain or company officer to receive instructions. Volunteer firefighters may drive the fire trucks to the scene or drive their own vehicles.
