The Blanchard Fire Department was founded in 1941 as a volunteer department and continued as such until 2008 when a full-time paid Fire Chief was hired. The current department is headed by Fire Chief Charlie Largent who was hired in January of 2011. Blanchard is a combination department and comprised of highly trained personnel, consisting of a Fire Chief, 4-full time firefighters, and 21-authorized volunteer firefighters. The Fire Department currently operates out of one station located at 106 South Monroe and is in the planning stages for a second fire station at the corner of NE 55th and Ward Acres Road. Our mission is to ensure that the Blanchard Fire Department provides the leadership, materials, and equipment necessary to ensure the best possible protection. As a camp counselor, you will spend the entire camp with one or two children aged seven to eleven, sharing God's love and ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable time. Responsibilities include participating in outdoor activities and attending mandatory training sessions.

Volunteers participate in planting, regular garden maintenance, harvesting, staffing the Garden’s table at the Markets, and providing Community Garden tours. No experience is necessary, and volunteers can earn produce for their efforts.

Payne Volunteer Fire Department is looking for persons aged 18-40 who have the Desire to Serve, the Courage to Act, and the Ability to Perform the duties of a firefighter. | Requirements: - Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check. - Must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 nights of training per month.
