Blandford Fire & Rescue is a group of professional volunteers who provide emergency services to the rural community of 1200 people and millions of travelers. We seek support personnel who can assist with Firefighter Rehab, traffic control, and disaster assistance to augment our current roster of firefighters and EMS responders. Distribute posters throughout the Pioneer Valley to reach new concertgoers and remind old ones about upcoming concerts.

Update media distribution lists annually in the early fall to ensure information is reaching the right person in a rapidly changing world.

Assist in writing well-conceived and written applications and proposals for foundations and government agencies to secure funding for the organization.

The Pleasant Valley Fire Department serves the community of Barkhamsted Connecticut. We provide volunteer fire and rescue services. We are a small department responding to about 200 calls per year. We have immediate and critical need for new staff. We have lost several members in the last few years and are running short. Help maintain the David Ruggles Center's facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include basic building upkeep, landscaping, and cleaning to ensure a welcoming environment for visitors.

Lead educational tours and programs at the David Ruggles Center, engaging visitors with the history of abolitionists and the Underground Railroad. Volunteers will guide groups through exhibits and provide insightful commentary.

Organize and maintain the center's digital and physical archives. Volunteers will assist in cataloging materials and supporting research efforts related to the center's historical focus.

Assist visitors in the museum, providing information about exhibits and answering questions. Docents help enhance the visitor experience by sharing knowledge about the center's historical content.

Manage email communications and social media presence for the David Ruggles Center. Volunteers will help craft messages, post updates, and engage with the community online.

Volunteers assist with grooming the horses, taking them for hand-walks, and cleaning out the stalls. Volunteers also have the opportunity to engage in maintenance or construction tasks around the sanctuary.

Support AMP's fundraising events by helping with event setup, guest assistance, and other logistical tasks. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the success of these events.

Greet visitors and support their experience at the American Mural Project. Volunteers may also assist with educational programs and events.

Assist with AMP's education programs, including school field trips and summer programs. Volunteers help facilitate learning experiences related to the mural.

The Winsted Fire Department is looking for men and woman to become Firefighters, Fire Police/ Support position and Explorers. The WFD responds to 600 to 800 calls a year in the Town of Winchester and the surrounding towns. The WFD will send new members to a regional fire school for training at no cost to the individual. The Winsted Fire Department offers pay per call and a tax abatement to active members.
