Bowling Green Vol. Rescue Squad is currently seeking motivated individuals that are willing to give back to their community through volunteering! We are looking for new and/or experienced providers to provide Emergency Care to the great citizens of Caroline County, VA! We are a small organization stationed in the heart of Bowling Green with a large first due area and are currently second due for the entire county due to our central location. We are a combination station in the county meaning we have 24/7 staffing in house, however as the population grows, our call volume grows as well and we are in need of more members to better serve the community in a timely and professional manner. Training is provided at no cost through Caroline County Fire - Rescue and the opportunities are endless! Our station currently requires each operational member to log a minimum of 20 hours per month to remain in active status with the department. From the time of a membership starting, each individual has 24 months to complete required EMT training, as well as other training required by the county. Once voted in, you will have 4 months to complete the Volunteer Orientation Program which includes 1 classroom session and some online work to review Standard Procedures as well as minimum certifications in order to ride the apparatus with us. We are currently seeking members from our Community to serve in a myriad of capacities. We in need of motivated individuals that would be willing to fill the role of Firefighter, EMT, Administrative help and/or support our fundraising and community education efforts.
