The Boxford Fire Department is currently accepting applications to join our department as a call firefighter. We are looking for Boxford Residents whom are interested in better serving their community. Boxford Fire utilizes two stations spanning across 24 square miles with 8400 residents. If selected; the Boxford Fire Department will provide an in house educational recruit training program which will provide the essential knowledge and hands on skills necessary to perform the job. Upon completion of the recruit training program the candidate will then acquire their First Responder or EMT training prior to responding to calls. Youth from Middle School through College can engage in leadership opportunities, helping to lead projects that make a significant impact in the region. This program aims to harness the passion and energy of young people to fuel kindness initiatives.

Volunteers can participate in various activities such as donating or collecting goods, driving baskets to people, cooking and baking, making bagged lunches, knitting and sewing, assembling packages and gifts, and being part of the action team at TKC. Volunteers are encouraged to propose their own ideas for spreading kindness.

Volunteers will assist in organizing and managing the first annual arts festival, ensuring smooth operations and helping attendees. Responsibilities include setting up, guiding visitors, and supporting artists and vendors.

Assist in organizing and running community events such as Winter Bonfire, Pancake Breakfast, and Summer Night Lights. Volunteers will help with event setup, coordination, and ensuring a smooth experience for attendees.

Assist in organizing and facilitating a day of fishing dedicated to veterans, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. Responsibilities include setup, coordination, and providing support to veterans during the event.

Assist in organizing and facilitating an informative seminar presented by the Department of Homeland Security. Volunteers will help with setup, registration, and distribution of free emergency go-kits to attendees.

Engage local children in decorating lunch bags to brighten the day of veterans and homeless community members. This activity fosters community spirit and gratitude towards those who have served and those in need.

Volunteers work to collect, sort, and distribute food to those in need. They play a crucial role in ensuring that food is safely processed and redistributed to food pantries, meal centers, and other programs serving communities facing food insecurity.
