The Department is staffed with 1 full time Deputy chief and 20 paid on call members who respond from home. The Fire Department operates out of 2 fire houses utilizing 3 Engines 1 Rescue Squad and 2 Support Command vehicles. We are looking to establish a new program of volunteer staffing of the fire department to provide faster response times to our citizens and visitors. This is a perfect opportunity to learn the trade off a Firefighter as a future career or to serve your community. All members receive pay per call from the Village and small number of Paid shifts are available on the weekends. If you are looking to be sponsored through a fire academy we are looking to help support you with potential reimbursement upon 2 years of service to our department and successful completion of state certification.
