Volunteers will assist in providing mentorship services to girls aged 6-18, focusing on socioemotional development, academic excellence, and career path guidance. Responsibilities include facilitating both online and face-to-face interactions and supporting various program activities.

Assist with environmental actions, community conversations, and food distributions. Volunteers are encouraged to report environmental issues and participate in various community events.

Help manage the organization's public image and communication efforts. Tasks include writing press releases, managing social media, and engaging with the community.

Provide temporary care for homeless pets until they are adopted. Responsibilities include feeding, socializing, and caring for the animals in a home environment.

Assist in organizing and executing fundraising events to support the organization's mission. Volunteers will help with event planning, promotion, and on-the-day activities.

Spend time with pets to help them become more comfortable with human interaction. This involves playing, grooming, and providing companionship to animals in the shelter.

Support various programs such as leadership/mentorship for entrepreneurs, mental health and wellness, and basic adult education/GED preparation. Volunteers will assist with planning and execution of program activities.

Assist in organizing and participating in community outreach events held on Saturdays. Volunteers will help distribute essential hygiene kits, diapers, and emergency food boxes to those in need.

The East Hazel Crest Volunteer Fire Department is in search of new, and excited volunteers to join our ranks! The East Hazel Crest Volunteer Fire Department is a All hazards response agency serving a community of approximately 1500 residents. The Fire Department responds annually to over 400 calls a year. The Department is staffed with 1 full time Deputy chief and 20 paid on call members who respond from home. The Fire Department operates out of 2 fire houses utilizing 3 Engines 1 Rescue Squad and 2 Support Command vehicles. We are looking to establish a new program of volunteer staffing of the fire department to provide faster response times to our citizens and visitors. This is a perfect opportunity to learn the trade off a Firefighter as a future career or to serve your community. All members receive pay per call from the Village and small number of Paid shifts are available on the weekends. Attend monthly meetings to meet other council members, hear about available committee work, and get involved in the cultural center's activities. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of every month.

Junior Coaches, aged 16 to 18, work alongside Coaches to inspire the next generation. They serve as role models, helping to lead practices and activities while developing their own leadership skills.

Volunteer Coaches are the heart of the Girls on the Run program, guiding a team through a curriculum that inspires and empowers young girls. Coaches are responsible for leading practices, facilitating discussions, and encouraging healthy habits.

5K Event Volunteers help create a memorable experience for participants by assisting with various tasks such as setting up the course, managing water stations, and cheering on runners. Volunteers will receive a GOTR volunteer shirt.
