We need your help please. Firefighters needed badly. On call when you want to be, free training and certification. Get paid per call and for training. You do NOT have to go into burning buildings. Your neighbors and community need YOU. If not you please ask your neighbors to help the fire department by becoming a volunteer firefighter. Get paid anywhere from $25.00 to $85.00 per call and $15.00 per hour for training. | Requirements: There are NO requirements needed, only a willingness to help your family, friends and neighbors in your community. All Training and Gear will be provided. Every Taylor County Firefighter started right where you are with no experience, probably with no thought of ever being a firefighter, just a good heart and a willingness to help if you could. We need Fire Truck Drivers, Support Firefighters helping load and carry hose and tools to the firefighter, checking stations and equipment, operating the fire engine pump, not just firefighters going in to burning structures. We need those too but it’s not a requirement. As a Volunteer Firefighter, you will be a vital member of our team, responding to a variety of emergency situations, including structural and wildland fires, medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, and natural disasters. You will participate in regular training sessions, monthly business meetings, and community outreach events, all while maintaining an appropriate standard of physical fitness. This is an unpaid position - you will work odd hours, for no pay, but you'll get a cool hat and some comrades you'll value for life.
