We are looking for volunteers. Fire training is a plus but is not a requirement. We will train with Georgia Public Safety Fire Academy certified instructor. You can train to whatever level you are comfortable with, from non-firefighting support up to interior certified firefighter. We are a rural fire dept that covers about 50 square miles and assists our community with fire suppression, and wildland firefighting. Join the Georgia Native Plant Society as a volunteer to help with various conservation activities, including hands-on work with plants and assisting with educational events. Volunteers can also contribute to state-level committees or specific projects like the Stone Mountain Propagation Program.

Mentors are needed to visit with students once a week to provide support, guidance, and friendship. Activities include having lunch, helping with homework, playing games, and encouraging students to reach their goals.
