We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals whom are looking to begin their career in the fire service. You must live within 30 miles of the Oak Grove Fire District and be willing to staff the station 16-32 hours per week. Established in 1994 we are a 35 square mile rural volunteer fire protection district located in NW Wagoner county. We average 350 calls per year. Currently we have two stations, 11 apparatuses, and 25 members on the roster. | Requirements: You will be required to complete a 90 day probationary period. After probationary reauiremts have been completed you are eligible to be voted onto the fire department as a rookie firefighter. Within your first two years on the department you are required to obtain your Firefighter 1 certification and obtain a medical license. EMR, EMT, or Paramedic. Assist in setting up and tearing down cages, tables, and signage for special adoption events at PetSmart. Volunteers help coordinate the event and ensure everything is in place for the adoption process.

Work with the feline team by caring for cats at Petsmart. Responsibilities include feeding/watering the cats, cleaning cages, changing litter, and providing playtime for each cat/kitten to help them in their adoption process. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, or if age 14-18 must have a parent present.

Report issues such as tall grass, potholes, and graffiti using the Action Center-Broken Arrow app. Volunteers help maintain the city's appearance by identifying and reporting problems.

Participate in the annual Trash Bash event by collecting litter from Broken Arrow’s arterial road rights-of-way, parks, and trails. Volunteers gather at Central Park to receive supplies and assignments.

Volunteers are trained to safely collect and dispose of nuisance signs from arterial road rights-of-way in cooperation with the City of Broken Arrow. This program helps keep the city free of unsightly signs.

Assist citizens who cannot maintain their yards or properties due to circumstances beyond their control. Volunteers work with local businesses, churches, and nonprofits to provide necessary assistance.

Volunteers assist in various departments such as Artist Alley, Convention Operations, and Security, ensuring the smooth running of the event. Responsibilities include setup, breakdown, and general assistance during the convention hours.

Empower women by teaching sewing skills in weekly classes. Volunteers will assist in organizing classes, providing instruction, and supporting participants in their learning journey.

Assist in providing vital healthcare services to underserved populations at Clinica Colfax. Volunteers will help with patient intake, administrative tasks, and supporting medical staff in delivering care.

Participate in organizing and facilitating health fairs to provide community members with access to essential health services. Volunteers will collaborate with local health organizations to benefit thousands of Tulsa area residents.

Assist in organizing and distributing essential educational resources like school supplies, dental and vision exams at the annual back-to-school fair. Volunteers will work with community partners to ensure the success of the event and support students' educational journeys.

Support the annual immigration forum by assisting with event logistics, engaging with attendees, and helping to disseminate factual information about immigration resources. Volunteers will work alongside immigration policy experts to inform and support the community.

Assist in organizing and facilitating the Camp Bandage event in Broken Arrow. Volunteers will help with setup, guide attendees, and support educational activities focused on emergency preparedness and safety.

Assist in setting up and cleaning up for adoption events, as well as helping with the adoption process at PetSmart events every Saturday.

Help operate the concession stand during performances by preparing and serving snacks and beverages. Volunteers in this role ensure that patrons have access to refreshments during shows.

Assist in building and painting sets for theatre productions. Volunteers with skills in carpentry or painting are especially welcome, but all skill levels are encouraged to participate.
