GTFD is a paid on call fire department. we cover 36 sq miles and offer our residents medical, fire, and rescue services along with auto aid with our other local departments for structure fires. Assist Mosh Pit Rescue by helping to return pop can donations. Volunteers can drop off cans at designated locations or coordinate with the rescue for pick-up. This helps fund the rescue's operations and care for animals.

Volunteers will assist the Chapter's Community Outreach Coordinator to expand outreach and awareness to help reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease among the African-American community. The time commitment will be determined.

Assist with advertising and promoting upcoming productions. Volunteers will help with creating marketing materials and reaching out to the community.

Help with building sets, running lights and sound, and assisting with set tear-down after shows. Training is provided for those new to theater production.

Assist with sewing costumes and making props for productions. Volunteers will receive guidance and support from experienced members.

Play in the pit orchestra for musical productions. Musicians of all levels are welcome to join and contribute to the musical aspect of the shows.

Assist with ushering and taking tickets during performances. No experience necessary, as training will be provided by experienced members.

Work in the box office, answering phones and assisting with ticket sales. Volunteers will be trained in customer service and administrative tasks.

Volunteers will assist staff with community outings providing individuals with dementia and their care partners with ongoing access to arts, cultural, and social experiences. Participation in outings will require 1 or 2 days per month.

Volunteers are needed to help with cat care tasks such as feeding cats, administering medication if needed, and general cleaning duties like scooping litter, sweeping, mopping, and organizing. Volunteers also socialize and snuggle with cats to help them build trust and find their forever homes.
