Assist with educational programs for school children and community members at Central Park. Responsibilities include helping with summer programs, engaging with children, and providing support during events.

Support various events at the Nature Center by helping with setup, managing activities, and ensuring a smooth experience for attendees. Volunteers with cooking skills are appreciated to provide snacks during programs.

The Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department is a busy and professional volunteer fire department. The McVFD currently has 23 members, both that live in town and out of town that serve our community of approximately 1,200 people and 64 square miles. The McVFD is a progressive and innovative fire department that is well served by the city of Mechanicsville and takes pride in our training and our commitment to our community. The McVFD does all in-house fire training and will cover the costs associated with the FFI/FFII certification as well as the EMT.
