The Monroe Township Fire Department, established in 1949 is a volunteer organization committed to serving the citizens of Henryville and Underwood of Monroe Township in northern Clark County, Indiana. We provide fire suppression, vehicle rescue, EMT/First-Responder services, swift water rescue, and rope rescue. Create dog coats, necklaces, and toys for greyhounds. Volunteers with skills in sewing, knitting, or other crafts are welcome to contribute their talents.

Join the transport team to pick up dogs and bring them to their foster homes. Volunteers should be comfortable with driving and handling dogs during transport.

Assist guests with questions, provide onboard information and other assistance, and assist with special events as needed. Volunteers should be interested in learning and talking about riverboats, the Ohio River, and the city of Louisville.
