Blairs Fire & Rescue
Blairs Fire & Rescue is located in Pittsylvania County in south-central Virginia. We provide fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services to Blairs and surrounding communities in Pittsylvania County. With a roster of fifty active firefighters and EMS providers, we respond to over 1500 emergencies each year, making us one of the busiest departments in our area. Our volunteer Firefighters and EMTs are at the heart of our organization and are important in ensuring the safety of the community. In order for you to volunteer, you must be at least 16 years of age to become a Junior member, or 18 years of age to become an Active member. You will receive training in Firefighting and/or Emergency Medical Services. All the training is provided to you free of charge as a member of Blairs Fire & Rescue and is always ongoing. As a member, you are responsible for: Fire or Rescue calls. Attendance at weekly meetings, held on Monday evenings. Attendance at functions, such as fundraisers and special events. Attendance at training exercises. Remember, as a member at Blairs Fire & Rescue, you are volunteering your time and may need to respond to emergencies that arise early in the day or late at night. Blairs Fire & Rescue is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Bachelors Hall Volunteer Fire Rescue Department (Station 30/Squad 30) provides fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services to Vandola, Bachelors Hall, Buford, and surrounding communities in Pittsylvania County.
