Available Volunteer Firefighter/EMS (EMR, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic) Position General Statement of Duties: The Volunteer Firefighter position is intended to help the Cherryvale Fire-Rescue in its everyday operations and emergency situations. Cherryvale Fire-Rescue responds to medical emergencies, fires of all natures (vehicles, grass, or structure), motor vehicle accidents, and any other emergency that requires the department s response. Volunteers work with both career firefighters and other volunteers. Duties may require shift work, working in various weather conditions, and exposure to dangerous situations. As a EMS technician, you will work as a care provider within your scope of practice. Volunteer EMS technicians are paid per twelve (12) hour shift. Call shifts are broken up into AM and PM shifts. AM shift is from 0600-1800 and PM shift is from 1800-0600. If you reside outside of Cherryvale city limits, you will be required to stay either at the station or within city limits during your call shift. Pay schedule is as follows: Weeknight shifts (Sunday-Thursday 1800-0600) $20/12 hour shift. Weekend shifts (Friday PM, Saturday AM, Saturday PM, Sunday AM) $55/12 hour shift. AEMTs and Paramedics are paid an additional amount per advanced level call where they are lead technician. AEMTs receive $35 and Paramedics $65. | Requirements: 1.
